  1. A Riner man whose capture in August capped a manhunt and police chase appeared in Montgomery County District Court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing related to 20 felony charges.
    Edward Hamilton DeHart Jr. has been charged with arson, possession of a firearm by a violent felon, breaking and entering with a deadly weapon, felony eluding and 10 grand larceny counts, Mary Pettitt, chief deputy commonwealth's attorney for Montgomery County, said in a news release. Twenty-one people testified for the prosecution at the preliminary hearing Tuesday, and the charges were certified to the grand jury.
